Wednesday Miracles

It’s Wednesday already. I think it is. The days all look the same now. It’s a bit of a gloomy day outside but it’s snowing which oddly enough makes everything seem brighter. And pretty. It’s like the snowflakes are taking their time falling to the ground. We haven’t had much snow this winter and the moisture is much needed for farmers.

We just got the news that most everything is still in lockdown until at least end of February . That means no going out at all on the weekends for me to see friends. I haven’t been doing that anyway – but I was hoping for restrictions to relax a bit. At least now I can book a haircut which I sorely need. I’ve been cutting my own hair and you know how that goes. I also need a dye job stat. The greys are showing my true age.

I’m actually up, with clothes on and have coffee and “breakfast” before noon. This is the first time that’s happened in a very long time due to the insomnia. I’m tired but the energy is good today. I’m trying to go to bed at a decent time (before 2). But sometimes it’s difficult. All my good creative ideas hit me the moment I lay down.

In light of the news of my high blood pressure reading yesterday, I’m also trying to take it easy when it comes to stress levels. I’m focusing on deep breathing techniques and getting back into daily exercises. I’m starting new medications that are supposed to help with all of this and the weight loss too. But some people have claimed to gain weight on the drug? So I’m having my doubts. It just seems like nothing I do helps and I think it’s all related to how I sleep.

Doctors keep telling me to get tested for sleep apnea. But it’s not that. It’s not waking up that is causing the insomnia – it’s not even being able to sleep. That’s a totally different thing all together. But some doctors are clueless. And thank god the doctor I saw yesterday didn’t even bring it up.

Today is a grocery day – I need to order in my weekly grocery supplies. Which means today is – lazy left over day! It’s the day of the week where I clean out all the food I haven’t used up and there’s quite a bit. That means carrots, cheese and sausage for dinner and lunch. I might cook the pork roast sitting in my freezer but we’ll see what the day brings.

I even got my floor vacuumed while waiting for my kettle to boil. And cleaned out some of my closets last night for the upcoming move.

So really, not a bad day.

Happy Wednesday – hope you’re having a fabulous day.
