I’m amazed at all the likes and comments on my photography posts and will continue to share at least one photo daily – until I run out! I have lots of hikes and trips to choose from.
I’m going to share some of my best travel photos for you to enjoy.
Back in 2014 after my mum died, I decided to take some time off and travel. I visited Halifax and went to see a friend in Vancouver who had a million dollar home on the mountainside. I recorded some music on his vintage grand piano. But on the way to his home – he showed me some of the best views in the city.
What I love about this one is that we had a really nice sunny day – a bit hazy – but we could still see the outlines of the mountains.
Vancouver North Shore
Here’s another shot from the same trip. I spent three nights on the north shore – right on the shore. I went all out – budget wasn’t important. I just wanted a relaxing get away. I picked the wrong weekend to go as there was some kind of competition on the docks – but nothing beat this view.
Kelowna, Mission Hill Winery, 2016
And lastly, here’s a shot of the beautiful Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna, BC. It was VERY hot that day and I was dressed in black – a bad choice. I was not in shape for travel and yet I went anyway. I only got a few photos at the winery. But this one turned out great.
In July of 2017, I attended an organ festival in Montreal and got to see so much of the city. One of the first nights were in the city, Tammy-Jo and I walked through Old Montreal to grab some poutine and headed out to Notre Dame for an organ concert. This place was magical.
And on our last night, we attended a fancy cocktail party on the roof top of one of the tallest buildings in the city. It was glorious and terrifying all at once. Unfortunately, I only had my Ipod with me – and I lost a lot of photos as the Ipod crashed!!
Montreal -the city for food, culture, and music!
Peggy’s Cove 2014
In 2014, I decided I wanted to travel from coast to coast. After my weekend trip to Vancouver, I headed out to Halifax for a week. What a week it was. I went whale watching. I went on the Titanic tour. And this glorious picture was taken at Peggy’s Cove just a few days before a tropical storm hit. The ocean was rocky. And it was so foggy – but what a memorable experience it was. This was during Hurricane Arthur which hit a few days after I left! Even my flight home was cancelled and I was stranded — with food poisoning!
And that’s a wrap for today – I’m off to see my dad this afternoon. Have a great weekend everyone and happy Friday!
