It’s Monday morning and my day is almost half over. I’ve been up since 6:00 am as I had to head out of town for a CT scan of my lungs. A thirty minute drive out of town just for a lung scan – isn’t that crazy? I’ve been waiting for this appointment since October 2019. Almost an entire year.
The whole appointment and process took maybe 20 minutes. I was in and out like a flash. I asked Wally if we could stop at McDonald’s for a coffee and a hashbrown. I love their coffee much more than Timmy’s. And I love their hashbrowns even more.
I caved last night and ordered in poutine from a local restaurant. Last time I ordered it was so good. This was just a pile of fries with gravy dumped in the middle of it. It looked like a five year old could have made it. I had a craving for a hot dog so I ordered in a jumbo dog. And I felt entirely gross after eating it.
I guess when you switch to a low carb diet, junk food just doesn’t agree with you after a while. I need to get back into that – and keep focusing on exercising.
While I haven’t lost any weight, I can a difference in my legs. They’re getting stronger. I’m developing biceps and am seeing more muscle definition all over. I have a long way to go to get to where I want to be.
I’m feeling better and stronger each day. I think the vitamins are helping. I think I’m also going to aim to be up for 7:00 am every morning. Or maybe even 6:00 am until I go back to work. So that September – which is coming up fast – isn’t so much of a shock.
So, those are the goals this week. Regular exercise. Go for walks. Sit outside – the weather is a bit chilly this week. Fall has arrived early. I don’t mind it at all.
I do need to shop for clothes – so maybe I will do that next week.
