The lard works in mysterious ways.

Taking a break from pimping out my Etsy stuff. I stepped on the scale this morning and I think this deserves a short post on its own.

Y’all know me, those who have been following this blog since the beginning, know that I’ve been trying to lose weight for years. I ballooned up to my heaviest weight last year and hated myself for it.

Weight fluctuates. The lard works in mysterious ways. But since I really got into intermittent fasting – I’ve finally started to see progress.

I think the key is since I’ve started working on art and websites again (hobby for now), the whole day can slip away easily. I’m getting restless of being at home and want to learn and try new things. I want to go back to school.

Despite my sleep schedule being out of whack this week – I’m down almost TWENTY pounds.

I lost a bunch of weight in September but then it came back on when I got sick. I’ve been really being careful what I eat – mostly kale and chicken during the day. And then I have a good sized dinner and healthy snack.

Anyway. I stepped on the scale THREE times in disbelief. I knew I had lost weight. But, the lard works in mysterious ways. Whatever I’m doing this week, seems to be working. Or maybe I’ve just done enough work to see progress.

Also, my brain keeps tricking me that it’s Saturday today. It’s not. I have to remind myself constantly.

Happy Saturday.

I’m tickled pink.

  1. Thanks! Do you find after some time you don’t even get that hungry any more? I used to be hungry all the time. Maybe it’s what I’m eating that’s changed.
