Healthy snacks – with Greek yogurt

I was going through some older photos and found these fantastic photos of low calorie snacks I made last summer. I thought I’d share. The recipes are quick and take a mere matter of minutes to make.

I went through a phase last summer where I ate yogurt almost every day – actually to the point that I can’t even look at yogurt right now. But I had a lot of fun coming with new and inventive ways to use yogurt in healthy snacks. Here are some of my creations. With pictures! My cell phone was brand new and it was amazing.

Chocolate Yogurt

  • 1-2 cups of Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of dark cocoa

Mix all three ingredients into one bowl. And enjoy.

Banana and Yogurt

  • 1-2 fresh bananas
  • 1-2 cups of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Optional: rolled oats or almonds

Banana loaf and yogurt

Yogurt really can be added to just about anything. Frozen yogurt is even more amazing. Featured in this image, is a banana bread loaf that I made and topped it off with a cup of vanilla yogurt. It was delicious – and mostly healthy. Banana bread is easy to make and there are thousands of recipes online.
